3D Overlays: Now Available for All Users
3D Overlays are no longer limited to Premium. Every SkyeBrowse user can now stack multiple 3D models in the same viewer.
Here's why this matters. Take a 1 minute drone video of the outside of a building and make a 3D model. Then walk inside with a 360 camera, take another 1 minute video, and make a second model. Now overlay the interior model on top of the exterior model and merge them into one scene. You can go through the same model and go from roof and exterior walls to interior rooms. No switching files, no guessing alignment, no confusion.

Upgraded Clip Tool and Agent Luis
The Clip Tool just got a big upgrade. You can now clip both 3D overlays and the original 3D model. That means if you've merged an interior and exterior scene together, you can hide sections of either layer to isolate exactly what you need. This is especially useful for court presentations, walkthroughs, and tactical planning where you need to show specific areas without visual clutter.
Also Agent Luis, our AI-powered support specialist, just got a major upgrade. It's now 50% faster and will provide direct links to the answers it gives you. So instead of pointing you in the right direction, Luis now takes you there. Whether you need help with a workflow, a tool, or troubleshooting, Agent Luis is trained on our latest documentation, tutorials, and best practices.
SkyeBrowse vs Polycam: 3D vs Gaussian Splatting
I took the exact same 6 minute drone video and ran it through both SkyeBrowse and Polycam. I wanted to see how our videogrammetry stacked up against 3D Gaussian Splatting.
The mapping world has been obsessed with Gaussian Splats lately. The Polycam output looks incredible at a quick glance. However, the illusion breaks the second you zoom in or try to rotate the scene. Edges turn blurry. Walls fail to connect. Cars lose their shape and look a bit melted.
Out of the exact same video, SkyeBrowse produced a clean and highly structured 3D model with actual hard geometry.
