How to 3D map a public safety scene with a drone

Record one continuous video of the scene with your drone, upload it to SkyeBrowse, and open a measurable 3D model and top-down orthomosaic in your browser minutes later. Supported DJI and Autel drones fly automated Orbit and WideBrowse missions in the SkyeBrowse Flight App, and every other drone works through Universal Upload. Pick your scene and drone below for the exact steps.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a drone the SkyeBrowse Flight App does not support?

Yes. Fly it manually in its native app and upload the MP4 or MOV video through Universal Upload at app.skyebrowse.com. Universal Upload accepts video from any drone, phone, action camera, 360 camera, or body-worn camera.

Does SkyeBrowse build models from video or photos?

SkyeBrowse uses patented videogrammetry, which builds the 3D model from the frames of a continuous video. Photos can be attached to a model as annotations.

Do I need ground control points?

No. Public Safety & Enterprise models reach survey-grade, court-admissible 0.1 inch accuracy without ground control points, and Commercial models reach 0.5 inch.

How long does processing take?

Processing runs at about one minute per minute of video, and most models are ready 5 to 10 minutes after upload.
