Updates and the SkyeBrowse Experience

If you have had issues with your drones while using the SkyeBrowse app, including any connection issues, video issues, or your drone was unable to takeoff, keeping your app and SDK up to date is the solution. As of September 2022, the FAA released a Remote ID ruling that requires drones to broadcast their location as they fly, similar to a digital license plate.

This new change has affected performance on all third party apps, including SkyeBrowse, which supports DJI and Autel drones on iOS and Android. While this opens the doors for more people to use our software, it also means multiple devices, platforms, and firmwares to deal with. From the development side, adjustments must be made in the SDK code for it to work properly, but it is impossible to predict when issues may arise due to SDK updates.

Android relase notes

That being said, that is where you come in. Since the release of Freemium on October 25th, we have had almost 5000 new subscribers! That is an average of 121 new users per day. While we have testers on our end, the more we hear from you and obtain the information for our developers to troubleshoot the issues, the better our application becomes.

So thank you for being part of SkyeBrowse! We appreciate your feedback, patience, and understanding.

Happy SkyeBrowsing and Happy Holidays!
